I guess one of the joys of not reading liner notes (I do most of my
listening while driving) is a) being surprized by the actual lyrics when I
find them and b) assuming the DL was a big component of "The Last
Temptation" P. Gabriel album! It is still a wonderful album and I agree with
Antonio that viewing the film helps.
My dream DL team: "The Cowboy Junkies" - whose recent album: Lay It Down is
quite beautiful. T.

Subject: D.L./ Malcolm Burn/Patti Smith/L.J.
Malcolm, who has appeared on D>L's records and related other projects, has
co-produced the new Patti Smith album, "Gone Again." I have the advance
promo ep for it, and the sound is related to the warm, yet strong D>L> sound
we all love. Smith, for those who are unfamiliar is the poet, singer,
songwriter who in the 70's dominated rock music with literacy and intensity.
Some might say she is the reason we see the success of artist's like P.J.
Harvey today. "Gone Away" will be out in June.
Check the Rolling Stone with Letterman on the cover for an teaser article
about Dan & Luscious J. project. Picture too. "Auntie Dan?....?????
