Kenley --

Do you have a copy of "Trip", the soundtrack promo CD by Lanois?
The tracks I've heard on the radio were amazing. Also, any ideas on how
to get a copy?
	Regards,

Hi Kenley and folks,

Just wanted to quickly recommend one of my American music favourites to
Lanois fans -- Zachary Richard. He is a true "cajun", which is to say a
transplanted Acadian from Louisiane, and is still making the music of his
people. He sings original and traditional songs in English, French and
the patois combination of them we're used to from some of Danny's songs,
though with a cajun twist. He's also a hell of an accordion player. As
a start, pick up "Woman in the Room", which has a song called "No French,
No More" that could have been produced by Danny L.

Hi Kenley,

I thought I'd drop you a note to say I've seen the video, "Building The
Wrecking Ball" and it's terrific! DL on roller blades, climbing stairs.
(Something I could never do ). Anyway, the makers are pitching it to
PBS stations for a Dec. pledge week airing. If anyone feels like calling
and asking about it or requesting it, I found a URL for PBS stations
nationwide.

I'm pretty excited. Time to tune up the VCR.

Hi Acadiens,

Few days ago I saw a video recorded in 1993 from Much Music, the canadian
version of MTV. There was Daniel with some friend "Bill" playing some
songs and being asked some questions from the general public. I realized
that some of the songs played in the program are part of Cool Water, in fact
the picture of Lanois in the cover belongs to that day performance.

When he was asked about the cover of Wynona: he said "it was a picture he
liked from a book"...and the interviewer suggested that it might be a shocking
picture because of the knife, etc. He answers "I think she looks vulnarable".

The interviewer, which by the way was a beautiful girl, mentioned something
about U2 saying that Danny made them feel understand that music was magic.
He said smiling: "Did they say that?"

I read that the name Wynona comes from a town in Canada, can anybody confirm
that?

I also read that he didn't like to include the lyrics in the album, because he
thought the music was more important that the meaning of the lyrics. I guess
he must be mad at Ant and me for tryng to put together his lyrics B-)

Oh well, all for the sake of magical music.

Cheers. Juani.
