What's the deal with the "Americanized" cover of Wynona? Is the cover of
this masterpiece actually defaced by the words "American Edition" in the
USA? In Canada, Dan's home country, we have Wynona standing in profile in
all her artistic-not pornographic-beauty. Hope not, but if it is and you
want an original, I can bring you one when I'm in San Francisco in spring,
1998.

Allo all!

I came across a great article with Daniel in the last issue
of « The performing songwriter » magazine, the may/june issue. Talk’s a
lot about the way he create his music, a very good and interesting
article. Also in response to Lyne Lariviere who wrote that message about
journalist « sleeping » during winter, she his oh!...so right! Another
proof about the lack of interest that we seem to have here in this
country for those who are true artist « know who I'm talking about? »
Sorry if I sound cruel, but it's the accumulatin of frustation of those
past years « lots of years » of unjustice done to Dan by the music
profession over here. He deserves a lot more respect from this country.
Anyway, there are some of us who belive in what he does and for that
he'll always have a special place in are « and my » heart.

                                  Talk to you later,

                                  Martine Lacasse

Hey all,
By accident I came across another DL interview that I haven't seen
mentioned on this list yet. It is in the May/June 1997 issue of "The
Performing Songwriter." It is a pretty good interview covering various
aspects of Sling Blade soundtrack and DL's work with Peter Gabriel, U2,
and Eno along with a recommeded listening list. Check it out. Joanne

I am very glad to find the D.L. Homepage. I have been a fan of his music
before I even knew who he was. I was an avid Eno fan for a long time and
began seeing his name way back then. I stumbled across a D.L. concert at
the Jazz and Heritage Festival in New Orleans back in 1990. Literally, I
had no idea he was going to be there. He played Acadie. I was awestruck.
Ever since, I have been in love. Thank you for your devotion to a man
who is certainly one of the few musical genius' of our time. I look
forward to more newsletters.

Sincerely, dee laret

I would love to see "Rocky World", the video you list on the Musician page.
Is this even for sale? Any information on where I might locate this is
greatly appreciated. Also, I am interested in seeing "The Building of the
Wrecking Ball", filmed while Emmylou Harris' CD was being produced. It is my
understanding that this is not for sale. Is there any way I might find it
otherwise? Thanks for any information you can offer! -msdivajse@aol.com
