Here's Dan's "pour ton sourire" video with French canadian singer Jorane. GO at WWW.jorane.com and click on discography. I think it has been shot at Dan's flat in TO.

Thanks Marty for bringing this to my attention; I've added it to the ACADIE web site on the musician page. I did like the song they did together though listening to some of the other material, I'm not sure I like it all. Do you have the entire release? Do you like it?

Peace,
Kenley

Well, Jorane's style is the kind that's you like or your hate, i think. Yes, I do like this redition of "Pour ton sourire " a lot. It has a nice groove to it and it one of the rare occasion that we have these days to hear Dan sing in french, wich is pretty cool to.  I'm not sure I get your question, do I have the entire release of the song ? yes I do.

I wondered if you have the entire CD release, not just this one song. Is the rest have a similar sound?

Yes I do have the entire album, in fact I have a few of Jorane's albums. I have to say that in this song you can hear Dan's touch, but the rest of the album sond more like Jorane music, alternative and new age sound, but to my opinion this album (the you and the now) tends to be a bit more commercial than the previous ones. With this first english album, she expecting to break through on the international scene as they say! Maybe thats the reason why she put "pour ton sourir" one this album also, to have Lanois's name as a collaborator, because the song was also on her previous mini LP "Evapore".

I like the entire album; as it was produced by Michael brook, a magnificient pure sound can be heard from beginning to the end of it. Jorane's compositions are really nice and her voice is great.
Not sure I would say it's more commercial than her previous works. It's different, quieter, more mature. Absolutely brilliant production. Jorane / Dan Lanois duo is a definitive highlight of it!
