Here's a concert date that you might be interested in.
Daniel Lanois will play Summerfest 2006 on Sunday August 5th, in Deep River, Ontario. He will be accompanied by Brian Blade - Drums, Marcus Blake - Bass and harmony vocals, Jim Wilson - Guitar and harmony vocals. The evening will span from moments of beautiful steel guitar to all-out rocking the house, enhanced with Canadian story-telling. There will be a special chance to hear
new songs along with favourite old ones.
Daniel is long time friends with fellow producer Malcolm Burn who hails from Deep River. Malcolm will make a guest appearance at this performance.
The festival is a great blend of music (classical, jazz, rock, blues and
country) theatre, dance, family activities and a dozen sports. The setting is the scenic waterfront of the Ottawa river where the festival uses a variety of venues: including the yacht club and the beach.
For the whole festival including Lanois, admission is $25 ($15 for
children).
