"Contains some spoilers if you havent seen the film yet"All i can say is oh yes, very cool. I got it in the mail 3 days ago & I've already watched it 4 times. As much of a Lanois fan that i am
i thought i might be disappointed with this release but i was dead wrong.

This is exactly what i was hoping for.
The three 5x7 photos are very cool.....One shot on the piano(which is signed nicely from Daniel himself with a silver marker),one shot on the lap steel, and one blurred out shot on the acoustic guitar.I guess there's 12 different photos in all.
The mini-notebook is a strange addition but well-made and slick-looking. Black in color filled with mini quad paper w/Here is what is Daniel Lanois on the cover in gloss black over a flat black.
The packaging is top-notch. Nice looking following the red/black/white color scheme. The insert contains more stills from the movie as well as lyrics.
The kicker to the goldtop version is IMO the 1 hour of bonus footage. Mostly consisting of different "takes" of songs from the movie as well as some interesting dialogue between Lanois & friends. My favorite is the tour of the LA studio....classic stuff.
An excellent package to be sure.
