What a show! I know its a long shot, but any chance there's still a copy available, somebody? Please email:

My girlfriend (now fiance) and I had just started listening to Lanois... Great times cozing up in the backseat listening to "Shine". The show was close to her birthday, but it was sold-out and I had no tickets. So, the day of the show I stood first-in-line waiting in front of The Ark waiting, hoping there'd be some tickets available, or maybe a scalper.
After a while, a girl in line tapped me on the shoulder, pointed and said "Why don't you ask him". She pointed at some guy trying to get in the front doors of the theater. He was in tee-shirt, jeans and a dark skull cap. He was carrying a bunch of books. Why not?
"Excuse me?. "What's up, bro?" he replied. "Do you have any extra tickets to the show?" I asked. "I'm trying to get in myself." He said politely. He walked away. People in line were suddenly laughing at me. As I got back in line, confused, the girl asked me if i knew who that was. Nope. "That was Daniel Lanois." she said.
Opps. Needless to say, I know who he is now. I dig his art.
Well, I was lucky that night. Some folks from Ohio had extra tickets to the show. And for the face value of the tickets and a round of beers, I was in. I called up my honey. Surprise! We met. We sat in the first row of that small intimate venue -- The Ark. MAn, we were blow away by the spontaneity, intensity, the grooves and jams that Lanois and Brian Blade laid down.
If you were there, you'd know what I mean.
