Lanois collection suggestions?

Hi all,
Here is a question I would like to submit to this forum. After discovering Daniel's own work on a record label sampler some years ago (it featured Still Water), I now have his own albums and a fair selection of albums he produced or worked on.
These include albums by U2, Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel, Eno, all of which I probably would have bought anyway even if I had never heard of Daniel Lanois. But also several albums that I guess I tried out mainly because Daniel had produced them, having previously little or no interest in the artist's work. These latter include the Robbie Robertson, the Neville Brothers, Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson. Almost all of these artists seem to have been inspired by working with Daniel into making albums unlike any they had made before. All were pleasant surprises.
My question is: are there other albums out there in Lanois land that any of you would recommend? Favourite collaborations I have not mentioned? Things any self-respecting Lanois-enthousiast should at least hear?
I would be interested to hear your recommensations!
groetjes,
Richard

Well, off the top of my head I do know he helped Parachute Club on their first effort but the only artist I would recommend you picking up is Ron Sexsmith. I believe DL even took one of the pics on the CD artwork. Yes, I just pulled out the CD (1995) and it does say Photography by Daniel Lanois. Besides producing the album DL also plays Electric Guitar on one track (I think its There's A Rhythm" - my favorite personal track of that release). I have all of Ron Sexsmiths work and its interesting to hear how is sound has changed and evolved from this first release. I would love to see RS and DL work on something again.
If I think of anything else I shall pass it along.

Ron Sexsmith's album( Ron Sexsmith, 1995) wasn't produced by DL but by Mitchell Froom. DL only produced the second version of "There's A Rhythm" (track 14).

Quite correct...my apologies for the error.
Personally I prefer the DL version of the song...just has more "feel" and emotion to it.

You should check out Chris Whitley, who has worked with Dan and is very much a kindered spirit. Chris is a major talent in his own right too.

This isn't really a colaboration but Dan plays guitar with Bob Dylan on Solomon Burke's album "Don't give up on me" He plays on the song Step Child. The Album is great and a must have in any collection
