Drum sounds on Robbie Robertson's "Somewhere Down the Crazy River"

I am a drummer and a novice at recording my solo and my band's music. I was just listening to Robbie Robertson's "Somewhere Down the Crazy River," and realized how much I loooooove the drum sounds on that track. I found out Daniel Lanois was probably behind the boards, and I am wondering who played the drums on this track and what the drums were. Then I'd love to know anything about how Lanois captured such full resonance and depth in the bass and toms, immediate presence in the ride and hat cymbals, and gorgeous fun tone in the snare with snares off. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks much!
